Sugar high at Meleno

Monday, March 21, 2016

Besides being born a day a part, Tin and I are major sugar freaks. Do not underestimate how much we love sweets, we really do. The amount of souvlaki and gyros we consumed on this trip could easily rival the amount of sweet treats we had. Meleno came highly recommended from our hotels in Fira and Imerovigli. We searched through Oia’s small streets, went up and down and eventually found our way to Meleno.

It was a hot September afternoon when we made our way to Meleno. We were insanely tempted to try their gelato but we couldn’t resist the cakes. It was difficult to pick which cake to try.

The cozy interiors of the quaint dessert shop served as a good breather away from the sun.

Lime Semifreddo (€6.80)

Chocolate Souffle (€6.80)

For true blue dessert lovers, a stop at Meleno is a definite must. Enjoy some of the most delectable desserts in Oia in this marvel of a shop. My only regret is that I only stopped once, I wish I had more time and stomach space to devour their other desserts.
