Have I professed my love for typography in this blog? If I haven’t, well let me tell you – I love typography! I have a fascination with fonts because I can express my creativity through it. I am the graphic artist who can’t draw to save her life.

Being kinder is one of my goals this year. I am not a horrible person generally but I believe I can be kinder to people. I’ve been struggling with this because I think I’ve exerted the same type of kindness I’ve been dishing out.

A Beautiful Mess is one of my favorite lifestyle blogs. I want to be Emma and Elsie! Haha I love their partnership, articles and like a good movie, I love seeing how their story unfolds. I feel like I know a part of them since they share a lot on their blog about their interests, journey and lives.

When I started working right out of college, I had the “get-as-much-experience-as-you-can” philosophy. It meant taking in various jobs even if the pay was low. I think at that point in my life, that was a good plan. Now that I’m not a fresh graduate and have more to offer this philosophy doesn’t work anymore.

I don’t know if I mentioned this on the blog. Hue Love Prints is solely my baby. I spent the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014 focusing on it. This is serious – I invested in equipment and crammed them all in our place. My OC parents have been insanely supportive and I am grateful.

When February entered, I was washed over with a want to have a better perspective on things. I’m not exactly in a rut but I’m not in the best situation either. I’m in the middle of my story waiting for happy ending or eventual demise. Sooooooooo I chose to look up and think of sunshine thoughts.

I’m attending a few weddings this year and it got me thinking about make up. If you want to try something different with your make up, The Beauty Department’s tutorial for the ombre liner is one thing you can try. Yes, I am biased to blue! Wonder when I can try this technique out?

Washi Tapes are driving people bananas. It’s been a woman’s secret stash, take note woman not girl. I know more women than girls who are hoarding these tapes. I have a few that I use primarily for work and I am limiting myself to that because I don’t want to get addicted.

Last week, I mentioned “being kinder” and this story is a cocktail of kindness and compassion. A man stole this woman’s wallet in a grocery. The woman, talks to the man instead of creating a scene or reporting him to the authorities. You won’t believe what happens. Click here to read about the story.

I am a production person; I remember my classes in TV, radio and video production fondly. It was fun creating concepts for our projects and seeing how our diverse minds come up with a fantastic group idea. If I were still in school, I don’t know if I could come up with something like this.

I am not a healthy person. I like my junk food and I am dormant. This November, I decided to make a few changes. These changes are small so I don’t see massive results yet but I needed to do it on my own pace. I’ve been doing my goal of working out 3 times a week which is an accomplishment for me. I honestly lack discipline in the trying to be healthier department. In terms of food, I’m trying not to snack as much as I used to. I also tried to cook! I don’t cook but I try to prepare a dish once a quarter.

Stories like this restore my faith in humanity. SPO2 Isagani Ceniza chose to be a decent and honest human being. It’s no secret that police officer in the Philippines have a muddled reputation. I am thankful for people like him who chose to break that negative stigma and stay true to the universal concept of a police officer – an individual you can trust and fights for justice.

Getting stuck in a rut has happened to a
lot of us. It can be a specific situation or a start of a true blue
crisis. I’ve been dealing with my own struggles the past years and found
myself in several ruts.

In this massive world, there are moments when you feel insignificant. What is my purpose in the grand scheme of things? What do I need to do in order to be great? Those questions can get overwhelming. Not everyone is built to be an innovator, game changer or a genius. Sometimes, it is the seed that plants insecurities in our minds.
