Splurge accommodations at Meli Meli Imerovigli

Monday, March 07, 2016

It was OUR birthdays so Tin and I decided to spend our last few nights in Santorini in a hotel that was over our usual budget. Our pick was Imerovigli’s Meli Meli Hotel.

We were choosing between a hotel in Oia or Imerovigli and what sealed the deal was the price. Meli Meli had a promotion wherein our room went down from €200 to €79 instead, score! What a birthday treat indeed.

Meli Meli is a quaint boutique hotel located a few kilometers from Imerovigli’s Caldera. During the day, it would take us 15 minutes to get to the town. The hotel is an 8 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. At night though, the walk from the Caldera back to the hotel gets a bit nerve wrecking because some portions were dark.

We were welcomed with Greek coffee and delicious pastries.

Our charming blue and white room.
We loved the look of the entire hotel. A room decked in blue and white screams Greece. Plus blue happens to be my favorite color.

Little details I adored.

We felt right at home at the hotel. Even though it was technically along the road, it never got too noisy at night. It just freaked us out a little that we were so near the main road. But hey, that’s our problem.

We never got to use the hotel pool.

Our complimentary breakfast by the balcony.
The spread may look little but this filled us up. I loved starting our day with a relaxed meal in our very own balcony.

Honestly, I enjoyed my stay at Meli Meli. However it seems severely overpriced at €200. If you don’t mind the walk, you might fall in love with this little gem too.
