2015’s ONE Festival in Bonifacio Global City

Are you guys still here? I won't make promises but I am trying to be a better blogger. Let's start with something that's close to my heart - art!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know what I’m talking about. The last week of May saw the BGC area light up with creative energy thanks to the ONE Festival – a week-long festival celebrating murals and street art through the works of 8 brilliant artists from the Philippines and other parts of the world.

It’s refreshing to see this form of art being accepted in the streets of our country. Others may think these murals as graffiti but they are not. I hope more walls be adorned with gorgeous murals.

Fashion style tips from Yahoo PH

As mentioned previously, I encounter A LOT of content for work whether it is in article, gallery or video form. Some of my favorite videos are the style videos! I am a major fan of these 1 item, multiple ways to use videos. It shows you how to harness your creativity, extend the life of your clothes, and make that purchase worth it.

On a production level, I also appreciate how the videos were shot and edited - simple, upbeat and informative. Here are a few of my favorite videos, enjoy!

My 5 seconds with Pope Francis in Manila

I missed the Pope when I visited the Vatican. I went on a weekday and he wasn’t there. I had every intention of attending his mass but got lost with a couple of friends and didn’t make it in time. When I found out he was visiting Manila, I was ecstatic. Yes, I am one of the millions who like his style and charmed by him. I knew I needed to seem during his visit.

The thing about working for a media company, it is common for you to have work during holidays and special occasions. This was not an exception. I was part of the lean Yahoo Philippines Team covering his visit. Our team wrote original stories, curated photos and videos for people to consume and did so much more. I was updated with his every move, touched by a lot of his speeches and encounters but I didn’t see him in person.

Aesthetically pleasing but disappointing food at CO/OP

Whenever something new mushrooms near my hood, I get excited. So you can imagine my glee when I found out about this lifestyle store and café in San Juan. Its hipster interiors are very now but there’s more to CO/OP than that.

Give Lists for 2014

I normally have my Christmas Give List during this time of the year but it’s not here. Technically, I did prepare over 200+ gift ideas but it’s in Yahoo. Haha Sorry guys, I didn’t have the energy to make a separate one.

What gift guides did we prepare for you? Find out below!

My Favorite Philippine Sunsets

As mentioned in the past, I hardly witness sunsets since I'm usually in transit or dressing up or something. There were a few times when I'd be enchanted by its beauty but would not have a camera with me. This list will hopefully inspire you to catch sunsets and for me, to remind myself to have my camera ALWAYS.

Wow, 37 years in the business. Isn’t that amazing? This restaurant is pivotal in how my family and I grew up and lived all these years.

My Office Kikay Essentials

Do people care what I think are office essentials? I’m not quite sure but I’ll share it anyway. I’m back to being office based and I started adding touches here and there to my office stash.
