Ever since my friend introduced me to Happy Skin’s Volcanic Roller – I’ve been a fan. I’m not a make-up girlie so I wasn’t in the loop of things.

Let’s recap. If you’re new to the blog I should let you know that I have sensitive skin and burn ferociously easily. I am a beach baby so I find myself under the sun’s burning rays a lot. I’ve reviewed a few brands in the past and that list is gone.

Do people care what I think are office essentials? I’m not quite sure but I’ll share it anyway. I’m back to being office based and I started adding touches here and there to my office stash.

I’ve written extensively about my love affair with hairstylist Karina Mantolino of Regine’s Salon in the past (do check out parts 1 and 2). They opened the Ortigas branch last December 2013. I remember when Karina told me about it, I almost jumped out of my chair. Regine’s Salon is finally near me! Why did it take so long for me to write about this? My last haircut was in August 2013 and I got my hair cut and permed just over the weekend.

Admittedly, I don’t have the best skin in the world. Besides having sensitive skin, I don’t make extra measures to have the softest skin in this side of the world. I sorta have dry skin, the before shot when in those lotion commercials when you draw a line and the line stays.

I’m attending a few weddings this year and it got me thinking about make up. If you want to try something different with your make up, The Beauty Department’s tutorial for the ombre liner is one thing you can try. Yes, I am biased to blue! Wonder when I can try this technique out?

I absolutely love The Beauty Department. I don’t use make up every day but with the site’s easy and user friendly articles, it made me want to try it out. It is my go to site especially for hair. I love saving different hair pegs for various occasions. It is also on this site where I first read about the effect of Davines’ Alchemic Red conditioner on blonde hair.

I purposely chose to blog about this when my whole experience was over so I could document it and give a more in depth review of the brand.
So you’ve read all about the brand and the dyeing experience. Now, let’s take a closer look at what really went down. Just a reminder, I am a medium blonde and didn’t bleach my hair for this.

In high school, I wanted periwinkle streaks in my hair. My school didn’t allow it so I thought of doing it the summer before college. I didn’t get it done but I’ve dabbled in painting my hair with temporary means like spray on dye, hair mascara and even the normal highlighter. I am happy that the colored hair trend is back because it brings with it more products to use. Though I’m no longer a teenager I was bent on painting my hair.
I researched and found Manic Panic. It is a semi-permanent vegetable based dye that does not use chemicals like ammonia peroxide. It’s safer for your hair. This brand also has conditioning effects on one’s hair. It is a popular brand and first to mind when thinking of bright hair dyes. It has been used by music superstars Rihanna and Kate Perry. In the Philippines, Funky Streaks is an online shop that carries the brand. Jane, the owner, has set up her website to be informative and easy to navigate through. She also is passionate about the dye and answers queries about it.

I recently unearthed photos for a family project where I had rebonded hair. Some family members commented that they really liked my hair that way. It brought up a discussion of straight VS wavy hair.
If you have healthy hair, you might be lucky enough to style it any way you want. As I’ve mentioned in my past hair history post, I’m not as fortunate. I used to have straight hair growing up but due to neglect, it became frizzy and unruly. I’ve tried chemical treatments to style my hair via rebonding and perming. If you’re planning to have these treatments done, this is a good read. What are the pros and cons of both procedures?

I first stepped onto the vicinity of Toccare Spa last June for Kabbie’s bridal shower. It was organized by her friends so I didn’t know anything about the place. I’m not a big spa or massage person so it really isn’t my department. I didn’t have a lot of expectations going there.

I like going to groceries here at home because I get to discover new things. I like being able to try out all these things which may or may not join my list of favorites. Groceries or even convenient stores abroad raise my level of fascination even higher. On our last full day in Singapore, we headed to Fair Price in Marine Parade to buy supplies for our last home cooked dinner in Singapore and for us tourists to explore.
I bought a couple of old faves I scored from the 2009 trip while adding some new finds to my cart.
