I first tasted the wonders of Chef Chris Locher’s cooking at the mouth-watering C Italian Dining in Clark. I got goose bumps when I found out he opened My Kitchen in Manila! Yay! Then I read where it was located, at the Oasis Hotel in Paco Park which is not an area a frequent.
I am such a Deal Grocer patron. Another deal from the coupon buying site for My Kitchen came and I immediately bought the deal. It was a P395 coupon for a Half and Half Panizza worth P785. My Kitchen doesn’t have the option of half and half so this deal enabled you to try to types at one go.

Last summer, I scored another awesome deal from Deal Grocer – stay for 4 at Misibis Bay! Like Bellarocca, Misibis Bay is a luxury island resort waaaaayyyy above my pay grade. Don’t you just love Deal Grocer?? I do, I do!
This is my second luxe vacation so I couldn’t help but compare it to Bellarocca. I was with fellow Bellarocca vacationer Berenice, her friend Mye and constant travel buddy – Danix. I will limit Bellarocca references because at the end of this series, I will be pitting the 2 island resorts against each other.

Deal Grocer is at it again! They have new deals for the summer that the whole family can enjoy. You have to be a member to be able to see and purchase these deals.
El Nido for 2
As tempting as this is, it's not within my allotted budget for travel this year. I'm behaving, I'm not buying. Haha

T-Shirt Design Workshop and Silk Screen Class by Team Manila
I love and respect Team Manila. More than their dedication and passion to their work, I'm loving them more because of their willingness to share their expertise and love for our country.

It’s no secret that freaking gorgeous Santorini is my ultimate dream destination and I know that I’m not alone. Guess what, a local group buying site is raffling off a trip for 2 to the stunning island!

As mentioned in my first Misibis Bay post, I couldn’t help but compare the 2 resorts throughout the trip since they were of the same caliber. How do we settle this? With a round per round battle of course.

The Bellarocca series is my official entry for my Photo Walk for May. Hehe
I’ve always wanted to go to Bellarocca but it was waaaaaaay above my pay grade. I always thought, “I will find a job that will bring me there!”. That never happened though. One fateful night, a text from Tin alerted me of a new service – a coupon site. One of their opening offerings? An affordable package to the elusive island! Cmon! Getting the deal was an ordeal and almost heartbreaking, read my story here.
The deal they offered was the 3 days/2 nights Summer Getaway for 4 P23,600 (approximately $536) which included:
- Accommodations at a 2 Bedroom Terraza
- Roundtrip land and sea transfers from the airport to the resort and vice versa
- Welcome Refreshments
- 2 days continental breakfast for 4
- Complimentary internet connectivity in the accommodation (cable) and public areas (Wi-Fi)
- Complimentary drinking bottles of water in the room, replenished daily
- Complimentary coffee & tea selections in room
- Golf cart service (this is the only way to get around)
- Complimentary access to the resort’s range of exclusive facilities and recreational activities, i.e. 9-hole golf course, driving range, 2 swimming pools (seaside and hotel pools), tea house, meditation sanctuary, fitness gym, entertainment/game room, cigar lounge and picnic grove
* normally rates for the 2 bedroom Terraza is $540 per night.
My Bellarocca wishes were coming true! Not only that, I was getting a level up vacation which I haven’t had in the longest time!

I first stepped onto the vicinity of Toccare Spa last June for Kabbie’s bridal shower. It was organized by her friends so I didn’t know anything about the place. I’m not a big spa or massage person so it really isn’t my department. I didn’t have a lot of expectations going there.

I can sum up the experience in 3 words: Filipino hospitality elevated.

My Vegas based cousins Gorby and Omi were in town for their brother Mitor’s wedding to Kabbie. Naturally, an out of trip ensued. While planning for the weekend getaway, we only had 1 requirement in mind – the beach. Omi also wanted something that she could experience only here, “Wala sa US nyan!” (They don’t have in the US!)
When a Deal Grocer deal popped up for Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan, it was hitting 2 birds with 1 stone! Las Casas has also been on my list of places to visit. So 1 weekend, the kooky cousins and I went on a road trip!

Well what do you know; Deal Grocer had ANOTHER deal for My Kitchen! My family loved the experience so much we bought coupons again. We made sure to go for lunch so that we could visit nearby Paco Park as well. With the coupon, we got a whole panizza for P395 (Originally P792). We chose from 3 new flavors they offered.

Our clan grew up regularly heading out of town with a gabagillion of us at a time. We would always spend Holy Week together with a 15 or so car convey. Our regular clan size is at least 50. We’re close that way.

Las Casas follows standard check in and checkout times. However you can arrive early and explore the property. There’s a 45 min tour (or longer depending on your group’s speed) available every hour. Our plan was to have breakfast on the road to catch our 1030 AM tour so that when it’s over we can have lunch, rest and swim!!! Things didn’t go as planned and we left Manila late. We arrived at the property a little after 10 AM famished so we proceeded to have brunch instead. Luckily our room was ready after our meal and we were able to check in. In true Spanish practice, we had sieta. Mwahahahahaha
