Misibis Bay, are you ready for me?

Last summer, I scored another awesome deal from Deal Grocer – stay for 4 at Misibis Bay! Like Bellarocca, Misibis Bay is a luxury island resort waaaaayyyy above my pay grade. Don’t you just love Deal Grocer?? I do, I do!

This is my second luxe vacation so I couldn’t help but compare it to Bellarocca. I was with fellow Bellarocca vacationer Berenice, her friend Mye and constant travel buddy – Danix. I will limit Bellarocca references because at the end of this series, I will be pitting the 2 island resorts against each other.

So to the deal! We choose the 3 days/2 nights Breathtaking 1-Bedroom Deluxe Suite for 4 for P38,750 (approximately $922). Here are the details of the deal:
- Accommodations for 4 in a 1-Bedroom Deluxe Suite
- Round-trip airport transfers to/from Legazpi City airport and Misibis Bay
- Daily breakfast
- Half Day City Tour
- Free use of non-motorized sports equipment (kayak, hobie cat, windsurfing, etc)
* normal rate of the 1-Bedroom Deluxe Suite is $912 per night.
 
When we confirmed our booking, we were informed that the Half Day City Tour was to be availed upon arrival. The resort isn’t near the airport and takes 1-2 hours travel time so availing of the tour upon arrival makes sense. I’ll be saving the tour for my next post. Let’s jump to our room. 

 
Hello 1 Bedroom Deluxe Suite
You see our dining area and “living room” which was converted to the sleeping area for 2.

 
The dining area had a lot of cabinets, a coffee maker, a refrigerator (hidden inside one of the cabinets) and counter space.

 
 
The bedroom was bigger than the living room and dining area combined. The bed was so enormous Danix and I could sleep comfortably and never hit each other. The beddings and pillows score points for being burrow-able.

Freebies: Maruya (a Filipino delicacy – similar to Banana Fritters), slippers made of abaca  and a beach bag that supports Misibis’ livelihood project. All four of us ended up using the slippers as our “in room” slippers. We’re OC like that.

The room only had 1 bathroom that could be accessed through the bedroom and the dining room.

 
All four of us would easily weave in and out of the spacious bathroom. The toilet, shower area and bath tub had their own areas which made sharing the bathroom much easier. I loved that it had 2 sinks!

 
We were billeted on the second floor giving us our own massive balcony. The experience would have been better if they had a few chairs on the balcony because it was a good place to hang out.

The room gave each of us our own space and that’s important. It was our cozy home for the next 3 days.
