5 Day Iloilo Itinerary Travel Guide

Tuesday, August 06, 2024

Add Iloilo City to your bucket list. The province is a hub for incredible food spots, stunning architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage site, rich historical landmarks, beautiful beaches, and serene nature that's Insta-worthy.

For accommodations we were choosing between the areas of Atria, Festive Walk, SM Iloilo and Downtown. Atria felt isolated and did not have public transport access. Festive Walk had areas that are livid but other parts of the mall felt sad. It also had an efficient transport hub though.

We eventually decided to pick the SM Iloilo area which proved to be the best decision. SM Iloilo had a much better vibe than Atria and Festive Walk. It was convenient for us to drop by the mall for errands, supplies, and everything else. It has a transportation hub making it easy to use public transport.

Since location was our priority, we went with Injap Tower. It was a spacious room and under P2,000 a night for 2 people already. The hotel though showed signs of its age. Mirrors in the bathroom were old and we had an issue with the AC.

Here’s your 5-day itinerary to the Creative City of Gastronomy (Click on the links below to see the comprehensive details of each day).

If you’re still reading this part and skipped the detail days, here spots you CANNOT miss:
It’s the most unique Church I’ve seen. Highly recommend getting the tour to have a deeper appreciation of the Church.

2. Heritage Buildings in downtown Iloilo
As an architecture stan, this is a must.

This easily is one of my favorite heritage houses ever. Again, avail of the tour because it is worth it.

We loved this café so much we went here several times on our 5-day trip.

5. Coffee at Neighbor Coffee
Iloilo has its own coffee scene and I was only able to go to 3 places. Check out their menu for their inventive creations.

It’s one of those places I can see myself living in. This is your sign to add the city to your list, Iloilo City is waiting to be explored.
