6 Pasalubongs to buy when in Iloilo
Saturday, September 14, 2024NGL, I pretty much brought home all food – which is what Iloilo is also known for. We went pasalubong hunting in the different spots we visited.
Don’t forget to swing by the Miagao Pasalubong Center. Just look to the left of the Miagao Church, and you can’t miss it.
Show some love to local artisans by picking up textiles, bags, food, and unique souvenirs. We snagged artisanal salt, coffee, and a malong to take home as pasalubong.
Miagao is actually known for its Budbud artisanal salt and was even featured on Featr. It’s a beautiful tradition that’s slowly vanishing. Let’s all do our part to keep this craft alive.
Always thought Leon was Iloilo’s lone coffee producer, but Miagao has its fair share too.
Islas de Gigantes
The Gigantes group of islands are famous for their scallops, and our tour guide hooked us up with a sample these fried scallops. It was my first time ever to try it and it was an instant purchase. It’s a unique pasalubong and a great way to support the locals.
Icreamhorn
From the Lizares Mansion we stopped by Icreamhorns to buy pasalubong. I actually saw this on Biyahe ni Drew and it piqued my interest. The horn is a cross between an ice cream cone and a wafer. I particularly liked the chocolate one because it tasted like tablea.
Balai Ilonggo at Festive Walk
Balai Ilonggo the DTI’s OTOP hub in Iloilo so you’re assured to find the best items the province has to offer.
When coffee meets chocolate, it’s game over for my taste buds.
The Local House at the Molo Mansion
This was a reco from one of the locals. Mama’s Kitchen is one of Iloilo’s well-established brands. They are known for their chewies and cookies.
Thanks for coming along on my epic Iloilo adventure. Now it’s your turn to dive into this amazing province and make your own memories.
