What to do in Misibis Bay? (besides hitting the beach)

Thursday, June 20, 2013

There were a bunch of things to enjoy that our group never got bored, we felt like we didn’t have enough time. To be completely honest, 3 days (more of 2.5) weren’t enough to fully enjoy what Misibis had to offer. Let me take you on a tour of the resort first.

Let’s start with the reception area. It looks pretty from outside but it looks pretty in the inside too.

Kids Center

The kids will have a place of their own in Misbis’ Kids Center.

Pasto had a ball there.

Visit the Eco Energy Park
Take the guided tour around the island and visit the other areas like the Eco Energy Park. You’ll find the Amphitheater here which was used as a pit stop in the Amazing Race Asia.

It is much beautiful when the sun is shining.

Sunset at the amphitheater is just alright.

The Chapel can accommodate Christian and Catholic weddings. The sun was setting when we visited and gave the Chapel a stunning glow.

You can also try their zip line.

Go Pool Hopping

Misibis has several pools (we counted at least 6!) in different areas so if ones too crowded for your liking, proceed to the next one.

Their version of an infinity pool but it didn’t successfully convey that.

You will always have comfortable chairs or beds with towels by the pool side.

At night, you can cool down by the pool bar.

Go to the Spa

While I was pool hopping, the girls and Pasto enjoyed a trip to the spa. During their visit, the spa had an amazing deal on their services:  50% on service until 6 PM. The girls loved their spa experience and highly recommend it.

“Loiter” in a good way

We did a lot of exploring that we checked out the empty villa. Hehe Yes, it has its own Jacuzzi and pathway to the beach. Awesome sauce.

Book one of their assorted tours

They can prepare tours for you and your group just like what they did for my man, Zac Efron.

Catch the sun rise

Would you believe, nocturnal me caught another sunrise?!? On our second day, we attempted to capture one but as we were preparing, the sun beat us by a few minutes! Misibis’ expected sunrise time was totally off. The sun appeared a good 30 minutes than projected.

On our last day, we woke up extra early to try to get a glimpse. We were able to catch it in time but since it’s been cloudy, it wasn’t the great reveal I expected. Anyway, it was still a nice way to start our day.

Waiting patiently and sleepily for the magic to happen.

Hello sun, it’s nice to see you once again!

I like how the waves form an S, very Blonde Fish.

Upon registering, the receptionist will have a suggested itinerary for you and your party. If you’d like to avail of the activities (like the zip line, water sports, visit to the chapel, etc) you need to book with Recreation Officer. It makes planning your day much easier plus it diminishes the disappointment of looking forward to an activity and not getting it because it is unavailable.

I have a separate post solely devoted to the beach and its activities!
