Cheech and Chang HK Roasts honestly doesn’t have much of an ambiance but it doesn’t matter because it delivers in taste.

They are known for their baos and their noodles dishes – and they did not disappoint.

Char Siu Bao (P120), Beef Brisket Bao (P120)
The 2 baos we tried had very different flavor profiles and is a flavor bomb in each bite.

In Photos: Hainanese Chicken (P250), Fried Rice (P250), Dan Dan P250), S&P Spareribs (P300), Lechon Macau Bao (P120)
These were the dishes I tried on my 2nd visit. This spread is a good introduction to what Cheech and Chang is all about. My favorites are definitely the baos and the ODB.

ODB (P250)
The ODB’s description on the menu may not make sense right away but it’s a spicy noodle dish with chicken. This was the first thing I tried that made me come back. I love that all the textures and flavors worked perfectly well together.

Aside from their food, expect inventive cocktails from them too. The Apple of My Eye (P280) is a refreshing and buzzy cocktail that reminds me of apple pie.

A word of warning, for some weird reason they don’t have proper cutlery. We had to use chopsticks and plastic soup spoons for dinner. Lol

Cheech and Chang HK Roasts is a hidden gem in Kapitolyo. Its signage is sometimes not visible but you can trust the Google Maps pin. Make plans with friends and drop by sooner than later.
