8 Oz.: Our not so secret favorite café in Pasig

Thursday, March 31, 2016

My cousins and I have an open secret, we love this little café quietly tucked in a gas station. Have you heard of 8 Oz. along Pasig Boulevard? If you haven’t you should.  We love that 8 Oz. has wifi, great coffee, delicious food and a cozy ambiance to spend time catching up with people or even quietly working.

Iced Tea (P50)
A bit too sweet for my preference but that’s something a little ice can solve.

Iced Café Mocha (P120)
Give me a cup of coffee that’s sweet and strong and you have a winner. 8 Oz. did not scrimp on flavor or coffee on their Iced Café Mocha.

Potato Garlic Chowder (P100)
Their version of this soup is creamy and explodes with flavor. I love that the cream doesn’t over power the true taste of the dish.

Roast Pork Sandwich (P150)
This was literally just roast pork with bread. The sandwich can be improved on by adding a few things like vegetables.

Aglio Olio Pasta (P180)
8 Oz’s version easily cements itself in my list of places for Aglio Olio. I love that each piece of noodle is dripping with the taste of garlic.

Coffee was without a doubt spot on good. We liked our food and will definitely come back for the pasta and to try their other creations. We were the only ones there on a Sunday and we liked that we had the whole place to ourselves. If you’re looking for somewhere new to have a good conversation with someone, 8 Oz. is your place to be.
