Authentic Vietnamese food at Vinatrang Cuisine
Thursday, July 11, 2024Truth be told everything we ordered was pretty good which is not surprising since the owner Chef Vina is Vietnamese. I adore Viet food for its balanced flavors without being too rich. My trip to HCMC many years ago made me like vegetables because of the Vietnamese food we devoured.
Be warned, their Caphe Sua Da is STRONG. When I was drinking it, it felt like good normal Viet coffee. I had it during lunch and OMG i ended up sleeping at 5:30 AM. This is not normal for me.
This was decadent. It blurs the line between coffee and dessert without sacrificing the coffee.
These were lumpia sized rather than shanghai sized. Lol A light and refreshing way to start your meal.
Ha Noi Style Vermicelli Noodle
I’ve partially been obsessed with this since its a dish with a lot of flavors. Its salty, punchy, and sweet all at the same time. The traditional Buncha is really served deconstructed.
The filling gives you a pop of flavor while the bread is soft for a baguette. I honestly prefer my bahnmi a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I’m not sure though what the authentic way for this is though.
The pork belly is delicately soft with a touch of sweetness.
The portions may look small but it will deceive you. The dishes are filling and we even had leftovers for takeout. Vinatrang Cuisine will transport you to Vietnam. I’m looking forward to going back for their pho when the weather eases up.
