New Makati Café: Alto Grounds

Alto Grounds is the newest spot in the heart of the Makati CBD. Expect staple drinks like Spanish Latte, Flat White, Matcha, Dark and White Mocha. They have a range of inventive brews such as the Pop!, Novato, Café Naranja Fizz and so much more.  All-day rice meals and sandwiches are available too. 

Grilled Liempo (P250)
Served with 2 eggs + rice
Their portions were surprisingly generous. To be honest the liempo was just your usual Grilled Liempo but MY GAWD it was served with LEGIT DELISH garlic rice. Like I would totally come back for the rice. Promise underneath all the egg and liempo there is an abundance of that rice. Lol

 It was a challenge to eat in the bowl and I requested for a knife. A few moments later their staff went to my table to offer a plate and I appreciated that.  My liempo was already gone and I was full but I still had some eggs and garlic rice left over. 

Cortado (P150)
95% of the time I’m an iced coffee girlie but for some reason I was drawn to the Cortado. Besides, you don’t see this often so I ordered it. I can’t quite describe the flavor profile of the coffee but it terrific. It had a strong coffee presence without being bitter or maasim. It was swabe. Kebs with the latte art. 

It’s on the ground floor and is soaked in sunlight which I absolutely adore. The interiors give a nod to Mid-Century modern with some spots of quirkiness. They also have a section that can accommodate bigger groups for small meetings. 

I left wanting to try more of everything. So Alto Grounds, wait for me cos I’ll be back! Have you been? If yes, what did you enjoy the most?
