Cubao Expo continues to be awesome in 2024

Yes, Cubao Expo should definitely be on your go-to list. The compound has evolved through the decades and It’s been on mine since I started working. 

I love that it’s been a haven for indie and local brands. There are a LOT of places to eat at and these places continue to be my faves. Oh, OG Bellini’s is one of them but not featured today. 

Cold White + Liham Latte from Andromede by Katha Lifestyle

Habanero Kitchen Bar doesn’t have much ambiance but damn their food is good. They do not accept reservations so be prepared to wait. Use the time to explore Cubao Expo. For context, I got there around 5 PM on a Friday and we were given a table around 6 PM.  If you’re in a group the 1 Kilo Lechon Habanero is mandatory. 

Habanero Three-Cheese Pizza (P568)
Mozzarella, queso de bola, grilled cheddar, fresh basil, white sauce

Lechon Kawali with Bagoong Rice (P425)
Deep-fried pork belly served with shrimp paste rice

Popping Sago Lambanog (P260)

INT Bar has inventive drinks – I don’t even know some of the ingredients in some of the cocktails.  

Eternal Sunshine (P350)
Cacao nilo reposado, Aperol, pineapple, lime, agave

Charlie Brown (P350)
Cacao inrused liquor, peanut outter fat wasned vodka, Demerara syrup, Frangelico, crushed almonds
I adored the Charlie Brown so much, I kept drinking it that night. It tasted like liquid ampaw (the Chinese snack) which is a childhood fave. Drink it on its own and drink it with the crushed almonds for another layer of deliciousness. 


Aside from the these mentioned above, there are more than a dozen other merchants in Cubao Expo. I do need another trip to explore more of them. Have you been lately, what’s your reco? Lemmeknow!
