Incredible night with my girls at Cerchio

* Please forgive the photos in this post.

A night out with my predominantly Quezon City based friends called for a restaurant in that area. I’ve heard good reviews for Cerchio and it won the vote of the Kindat crew. It was our homecoming dinner for Caro who’s been based in Singapore for a year and was visiting town. With no expectations, I was all set to experience Cerchio.

The restaurant has a second floor which some have said to be the perfect chill spot but on our visit, it was reserved for a private function. Even though the restaurant can fit a lot of people, it never felt overcrowded. The tables were properly spaced between each other giving guests the feeling that they have their own space.

The ambiance is conducive for conversations and memories. Their music selection compliments the atmosphere as they played steady chill music during dinner only changing to hiphop and r&b at the tail end of the evening.

Pumpkin Malunggay Soup (P90)
Hearty soup of pureed pumpkin and malunggay

Grilled Tuna Sashimi (P290)
Spiced marinated tuna, grilled until medium rare and served with our signature sauce and mango salsa

Our group ordered a lot, but I wasn’t able to try everything.

Calamares Fritos (P200)
Deep fried breaded calamari served with chive parmesan dip, aioli and BBQ sauce
I don’t usually love calamares but I appreciate Cerchio’s version. The breading used for the calamari wasn’t like anything I’ve tried before and it was tasty.

Grilled Tilapia (P320)
When this dish arrived, I was too full to even try it. Haha Interesting presentation though.

Spaghetti Pommodorro with Chorizo and Italian Sausage (Solo – P240, For sharing - P350)
I hoarded this pasta dish. I felt like there was a rainbow of flavors inside my mouth with every forkful. The sauce was a tad on the sweet side but it was forgiveable since the chorizo gave it the kick it needed.

Grilled Liempo (P290)
This isn’t your neighborhood corner liempo. It was freaking juicy and uber tasty. I loved that it was meaty and didn’t have too much fat attached to it.

Margarita (P110), Piña Colada (P150), Mojito (P115)
Plus points for Cerchio? They had a month long promotion of buy 1 take on cocktails. Booyah!

Cerchio for me feels like the refined adult choice for terrific get-togethers. Even without the buy 1 take 1 promotion, I would go back here for drinks. It was the perfect venue for us girls to catch up, have good grub and luscious drinks. For the boys out there, this is a good date place that is sure to impress the ladies.
