Revisiting Halo

Sunday, April 03, 2011

Danix and I attended Mitch Mauricio’s exhibit opening “Puerta” last February. Since we were in Cubao Expo, we hit our fave – Halo!

During our visit though, they seemed under manned. I had to go to the kitchen to get the attention of the waiters. Despite that set back, the waiters were all courteous and didn’t seem to let that bother them.

Veggie Burger (P90)
We really loved the Veggie Burger so we had that again!

Creamy Mushroom (P90)
It’s not exactly a vegetarian substitute dish but it didn’t have any meat. The sauce was rather bland though.

Sandy’s Pasta (P120)
The pasta was a mix of tomatoes, olives, basil and nuts. This dish is inclined to the Filipinos taste since it is on the sweet side. I don’t like my pasta that sweet though.

In the end, our champion, the Veggie Burger still stood as our favorite. It was the tastiest dish we’ve had in Halo. Next time, we’ll try the shakes again!
