I remember when this first started and it was just a one day conference called Graphika Manila. Now it has morphed into Manila Design Week, this week long celebration with oodles of activities. I've never been to one but I love how it supports our local designers. It's a good testament of where our industry is at and where it can go. =)

MDW is back for a second year, making good on its promise to turn August into the official design month of the Philippines.

Manila Design Week aims to bring Philippine graphic design into the mainstream. More than that, it wants to establish the Philippines as a hub of graphic design and creativity in the region by galvanizing local talent and giving it a voice, year after year.
