Was It Worth the Hype? Revisiting Key Coffee at Opus Mall After a Disappointing First Visit
Tuesday, May 06, 2025Tried Key Coffee at Mitsukoshi when it launched and left unimpressed — not the experience we expected from a spot so many people loved. I decided to give their Opus branch a second chance. Let’s see if it’s redemption time.
So glad we gave it another shot — maybe we just needed to order the right dishes, because this time everything hit the mark.
Wagyu Patty, Hambagu Sauce, Bacon Onion Jam, Cheese Slice, Cheese Sauce, Homemade Burger Bun
You’d think a burger’s just a burger -- but this one proved us wrong. Juicy, well-seasoned, and hands down our fave bite of the day.
Fresh Homemade Udon Noodles, Onion infused Cream Sauce, Miso-cured Bacon, Egg Yolk, Grana Padano, Spring Onions
Italian Prosciutto with Arugula tossed in Lemon Wafu Vinaigrette and Burrata, topped with Sweet Balsamic Cream on House-made Focaccia
The bread-to-filling ratio was way off — the bread totally took over.
Spiced Espresso, Cream Cheese, Tonka Bean, Italian Shortbread Cookie
Always down to try something different — and this Opus Mall–exclusive coffee definitely delivered. Cream cheese? Not so much. But the espresso with a kick? Totally worth a try.
Nama Chocolate, Milk
This iced malt chocolate hits the sweet spot — luxe and chocolatey without feeling too thick.
Kumquat, Yuzu, Black Tea
If you're into iced tea that isn’t sugar-loaded, this one’s a winner. You can actually taste the black tea — crisp, bold, and super refreshing.
