Animo Night 2013

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

Last year DLSU was crowned the over-all champion for season 75, our first ever in the Seniors division. Isn’t that amazing? We keep the winning streak by bagging another crown that is long overdue – the Men’s Basketball Championship!

I am a staunch supporter of my alma mater’s basketball team but I do need to clarify that I think there is more to the UAAP than just basketball. I wish that other sports would get as much attention and funding. Volleyball has gotten a lot of attention the past few years and that is amazing.

Students, Alumni, Faculty and staff of all the La Salle Schools trooped to Taft Avenue for the celebration. This year’s Animo Night was a celebration of all the teams that became champions in the first half of the UAAP season. The Men’s basketball team was the most cheered for team.

Coach Juno is known for not showing his emotions this season that’s why this graphic was made.

Sea of green!

The last time I was in DLSU was in 2007 to celebrate the Green Archer’s win in basketball also.

I made a point to say hi to the SJ walk which looks a tad different. Haha

A visit must, the Miguel building - so many wonderful and frightful memories here.

The night was made more fun with family of course!

True Green Lasallian Gary V. performed also that night.

I hope that the whole community continues to support the athletes competing in the second half of the season. It was night of sheer celebration, no cockiness just happiness.

Animo La Salle!!!
