My friend Tin is the theater junkie; I’m a sporadic theater fan. We were talking about the musicals for 2011 and she mentioned that 9 Works was producing Sweet Charity. I decided to pass on it; I didn’t want to shell out cash. Fast forward to this August and I scored free tickets to the press night. Boy was I glad I went!

You’ve heard about Bohol, Palwaan, and Boracay; but have you seen Mati?I fell in love with a place I never knew existed. My Davao based friend Mj posted photos of her trip to Mati in Davao Oriental and I was perplexed. Where in the world did that beautiful place come from and why haven’t I heard about it? Mati found its way on my hit list.

I’ve been asked by people WHY did I buy that expensive pair of slippers?? The Havs craze was too expensive for some already and now these FitFlops?? I am a believer and you can read about it in the article below.
Why did I tag this as travel related? Give your feet a treat and use these babies while traveling, family and friends have sworn off tired legs and feet because of FitFlops! To date, around 6 pairs of FitFlops have found homes because of my suggestion. Hehehe =)

The promise of “getting a workout while you walk” is a good marketing ploy. Once you take the bait, is it as delicious as you imagined it to be?

Being good to your body comes in several ways and need not mean shelling out thousands every time. Want a break from greasy fast food or super rich meals? When you're in the mood for dishes that are healthy, Halo Store and Cafe is a good alternative.
Tucked away in the artist-filled community of Cubao Expo (formerly Marikina Shoe Expo) is a quaint eatery deserving of your attention. Halo Store and Cafe is the brainchild of two UAP graduates with the purpose of providing regular people with healthy products. "Our main activity that time was the selling of sugar free chocolates and the organic sweetener made out of coconut sap. This was mainly inspired by the fact that both our dads suffer from diabetes." shares Halmen Valdez, 1/2 of Halo Store and Cafe.

Summer is here and it’s bound to get hotter and sweatier. Hold up, living in a tropical country gives us a license to be in summer mode 24/7. One of the benefits of that is being able to enjoy chilly creations all year round.
Touted as the local Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, Sebastian’s Ice Cream is absolutely divine. I’ve had my fair share of ice cream faves but Sebastian’s is the type of goodie that if you’ve had a ridiculously awful day, it would be a reward and make you feel better instantaneously.
Sebastian’s isn’t your run of the mill ice cream. The flavors come in wit-filled names and mouth watering combinations making ice cream an art form. It’s not just one ingredient, each flavor is a product of several exquisite ingredients blended together for that incredible taste. They have over 50 flavors that are in rotation. At a time, 10 flavors are available for the picking. Their servers may be quiet but always attentive. You can have a nibble before choosing the right flavor for your mood.

Remember my Postcard Monday entry on Cebu? My friend Owee's article and photos were featured in Juan Philippines' latest issue.

Edit: the link to the article is no longer up. To see the whole issue, you have to download the PDF file. Juan Magazine Cebu Issue (right click the link and choose "Save Link As". It's a faster way to download and from my experience, minimizes errors.)

I wrote an article for WMN.ph last December. We look forward to gingerbread houses, vanilla showers and peppermint dreams whenever the cool winds of Christmas arrive. Check out what health remedies these Christmas staples can provide HERE.- Sunday, February 07, 2010

I'm a Team Manila fan even before they opened their apparel line. They put up a roadshow exhibit to tell their story and inspire others. I wrote a short write-up about it for WMN.ph here. Yes, the writing is quite, how do i say this, biased and inspired! Hahaha My fave line from the exhibit has got to be:
“Working overtime is not a problem; if we’re passionate about a project we see it from beginning to end.”The simple statement is what everyone dreams of, finding THE passion job. Oh, they've re-issued some of their best selling designs too. Below are photos that didn't make it for the article.
Today's the last day of the exhibit in Trinoma, hurry! Thanks again to Liz and Nico. =)
