Yes, I’m one of those people who like the chaos of Christmas. I get so into the holiday spirit that I make an effort to download good Christmas music. I like to mix things up with traditional and unconventional tunes. I also lean towards upbeat ones. Here are a few my favorite Christmas songs.

The definition of Christmas and the emotions we associate with it change though out the years; it’s called growing up. I love Christmas! When we were kids it was about receiving gifts, Santa or not having school. Now that I’m older, I love giving more than receiving gifts.

I like the chase, I love finding items or experiences that would be perfect for my friends and family. I love finding the perfect Christmas gift for them and seeing their reaction. I don’t mind scouring places, I’m a research freak. I also like pimping things I adore. I get giddy introducing new things to people through my gifts and them learning something new. “Wow, this is local?” You bet your ass it is.

It’s another year of Christmas Give Lists and I’m so excited to share my findings with everyone! What I love about the chase, sometimes it just appears. I come across some stores or places and get that light bulb moment. I don’t go out and say, “Ah today, I must find a Christmas Give item to blog about!” They just appear, the world conspires to keep me happy. Yay world!

I was lucky to grow up around good food because of both sides of the family. My ninang (god mother) Tita Anet, my Mom’s best friend, is a baker. Even before all these home bakers emerged in the market, she was doing it already. It has been a Christmas tradition in our family to have her baked treats whenever the season arrives since my Mom orders for the house and as Christmas gifts. It has been such a tradition that when my Mom gives something else, people look for Tita Anet’s products instead. Haha

Christmas Give List: Accessories from Shoppersville

I love being able to find interesting gifts in the oddest or in unexpected places. And I have a post like that today! Shoppersville has appeared in my blog in the past, it’s more than a supermarket. They’ve surprised me yet again with these wonderful items that would make someone happy this Christmas.

I’m mostly a cuff/bracelets kinda girl more than any other accessory. Oh, I used to be big on earrings since I have 3 holes on each ear though I haven’t been using much of those. Anyway, I’m drifting from what I want to say. Haha

I was in the Katipunan area once again and took photos of a few things that caught my eye. Some of them were caught in my wallet and found its way to my bag. Haha

2012 Ayala Triangle Gardens Lights Show

Last year, Danix and I rushed to the Ayala Triangle Gardens to witness the famed Lights Show. Armed with my tripod, we got there and I took a test shot. As soon as I was about to take the next test shot all the lights turned off. We caught the tail end of the show and the mass was about to start. FAIL! We couldn't wait for the next show because we already bought tickets for the movie "New Years Eve" (with Zac, mwahahahaha!) happening in an hour and a half.

I wasn’t able to see it in 2011 and I vowed to make sure I wouldn’t miss the Lights Show in 2012. This year, the Light Show will run until December 30, 2012. You can witness the dancing lights from 6-9 PM.

Shoppersville Finds

I love discovering finds in not so obvious places. Have you been to Shoppersville lately? The Katipunan landmark was part of my “home” during my Miriam years. You’re not a certified product of Katipunan schools (or villages) if you don’t have a Shoppersville one story. (What is a one story? Literally that ONE story you associate with a place, person, thing etc. That when you see that place, person, thing, etc., it’s that ONE story you tell every time.) Many people know about the supermarket and Bakeshoppe on the ground floor. One floor up lies more merchandise that's worthy of another look.

My friend Tin generously shared some of her finds with me. With the holidays approaching, Shoppers (as most people call it) has some pieces good for trick or treaters or Christmas gifts.

I finally visited the QC spot which showcases a whole lotta stuff for your house. Dapitan Arcade is also known for affordable Christmas decorations but since I visited in July, Santa and friends weren't out yet.

This one is for the tea and chocolate lovers out there!

When I crave for hot drinks, I go for Coffee Bean’s fabulous tea lattes! I just love the Moroccan Mint and African Sunset Tea Lattes. For cold drinks, I would normally pick Seattle’s Best’s Javanilla or Double Chocolate Mint Javakula which also happens to be our family’s pick. This is making me miss SBC immensely…too bad they no longer have a branch on our street.
